I appreciate your direction & comments. I've had the old 2N, for about 10 yrs., along with an unknown 4' brush hog.
I do have most all of the manuals, and have found the Forum to be most informative, and helpful. I forgot to recheck them about oil pan R & R. My bad. I cog into this pickle, after draining the oil, and finding that the oil plug did't have the screen! So I promptly ordered one, and in due course, after failing to get it to go into the pan, discovered that the oil pickup "cup", was misaligned! That's when, after searching the forum for info, I just started to remove the pan. Opps...front end started to move!*?!# Sooo, here I am. The tractor is in my overcrowded shop/garage. I'm thinking if I put a jack under the trans, and support the front of the engine properly, I should be able to proceed safely. I've been viewing all the videos of engine supports. Most interesting! We will see. Thanks again for the input.
