Go to the Dennis Carpenter tractor catalog page and scroll thru the parts. Many of the parts are the same and each part will list years it was used -I.E. "39-64". You could get one or both kits, go thru part by part and verify old one to new one. If lets say the throttle shaft was different, it should match up to the one in your kit. If you get a kit and old part isn't the same, get one that is from the catalog. Each part is sold separately too. Are you sure you have a M/S carb? I have seen very few that didn't have an M/S tag. Can you post or send me pictures? There are some OEM Manuals in our forum here too you can download. I can tell if it is M/C carb or aftermarket. If you wish, as I rebuild M/C carbs in my sleep, you can send me one or both and I can look at them, rebuild as well. I can compare to some units I have that are marked as well.
