I bought what I think is a 9N tractor but the serial # is hand engraved and impossible to read -
In trying to figure out it's age I note the following..
It has three forward gears.
Radiator is unpressurised
The clutch pedal is on the left side and there is a brake pedal on both sides.
The dog's leg on the hood fastens on from the inside - no bolt on the outside
On the left side there is a lever, between the engine and the gearbox. Just ahead of the footrest It seems to have two positions (forward and back) but not really sure what it is or what it does. My assumption is that it is some type of overdrive or underdrive,
Starts first time, oil pressure is at 40lbs and drives fine. It came with a blade for the back and a "bush hog" for the 3pth.
The guy I bought it off was using it to cut grass and clear snow but bought an ATV instead. Thought I would get stuck less often when in the woods collecting Maple sap
