I just bought a 1950 8n with a 6 cylinder Funk Conversion. The dealer in Ohio put in a new 12 volt battery--it had a 12 volt in it before so we assume a 12 volt conversion. The negative cable went to ground.
When the tractor arrived in Mobile the battery was completely dead.
I have several questions. Is the key in the vertical position on or off--it was vertical when it arrived.
Is connecting the negative to ground correct or is this a positive ground? Will I damage anything if I try the positive to ground?
Thanks for the help.
