I have an 841 converted to 12v. It starts up usually as I release the starter button. I assume it is the surge of voltage from releasing the engaged starter. I watched a short video on You Tube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCs5gAZBbxU, that shows a diagram where an extra wire is run either to the output side of the resistor or to the plus side of coil to supply more power to coil during the cranking of the starter and shuts off when the key is released from the start position. I ran a wire according to the diagram and the tractor starts immediately but as soon as I release the starter button it dies. It looks like he is displaying an ignition switch with a start/release position.
My question is, do you think this will work on a tractor and, if so, how should it be wired assuming a starter button and an on/off ignition switch?
