Unwelding JB-weld

So I put a medallion on my gate with JBWeld, and thanks to poor preparation it fell off. Now there is a ring of epoxy where the glass used to be. Half of it has flaked off but the other is living up to advertising.

What can I do to remove the remaining epoxy short of a small thermonuclear weapon?

The gate is powder-coated metal.
