Thanks for the help. I am ordering a thermostat today as long as i have everyting apart. There is no spot to put the sensor in the head although that was my first option. I am adding a gauge because if I am out brush-cutting for a long time, I can tell it is getting hot and don't want to go too hard. A good excuse to stop for a cold one.
