A number of different schemes were used by different OEMs. Need to see a picture of what you have to say for sure. The most popular setup was a splined hub bolted to the crankshaft pulley. A splined pump driveshaft fit into that hub and came out the front to power the pump. A flexible coupler of some sort was used to connect that shaft to the input shaft on the pump. Post pictures.
