Naa top cover adjustments

I need some advice on the Naa hydraulic top cover adjustments. I found a very worn cam follower pin. In the directions it says to do a beginning adjustment on the "cam". Are they talking about the outer control handle that is held on by 4 bolts? If so, exactly how is this adjusted? I am not clear on what is being accomplished. Also,I am having a hard time with the 3/16 and 1/4 adjustments- when one is good the other is off somewhat. Basically, I am needing to get position control as good as possible, and not worrying about draft control so much. With this in mind,what is critical about the position control settings? Thanks!
