Thanks so much Kimberly. I ended up getting 30 of these hickory nuts out and then, after trying different methods could not find any more so I buttoned it all up and refilled with coolant, started it and let it warm up. After the thermostat opened the coolant flow into the top of the radiator was good so I feel I may have solved the problem. How did this tractor run so well for ten years without overheating? A big thanks to Henry Ford. David
