960 could have power steering as an option. most 901's i see did have power steering. Measure your front steering arm at the front bolster.. is it 5"ish or 4"ish. the smaller arm was for the non PS /older systems.. the longer arm ws for the ps systems from what i can find. I'm gonna bet you have the longer arm..e tc., and the trans is a replacement.

Do check those date codes and post back.

The remote, doesn't add a whole lot 'on' the tractor, however if you slapped a blank plate there, and then sold the remote, depending on style, etc.. you can get a hundred or more out of it usually.
