Plug wire tube

I'm rewiring an early '39 9N and noticed that my spark plug wire conduit tube has five, not four wire openings. My later '39 tractors all have four plug wire openings. Can someone tell me what the fifth hole is for? Do any of the wires in the wiring loom use this hole, or do they all go out the end by the coil? Thanks so much!
