Vacuum ports on manifold

While restoring two 1939 9ns,one with serial number 20xx and the other 88xx, I have found some strange [to me] things regarding the manifolds and air cleaner tubes. The air cleaner tube on the 20xx has a bend in it at the top where it goes into the air cleaner.I am assuming this tube would be part number 18215A.The tube off the 88xx does not have the extra bend in it but does have what appears to be a vacuum port installed in it.I am assuming this would be part number 18215B.The air cleaner tube used on later tractors is 18215C.
The manifold on 20xx had a vacuum port on the back side of the manifold intake.I'm only guessing this was a vacuum port. But since it is on the back side, when the manifold was installed, it would almost be impossible to use.The manifold on 88xx was changed out,so it don't help any.The prints show that the two piece[when fabricating] was obsoleted 10-19-39.Since 88xx would have been made in Dec. 1939, I was wondering if anyone might have an original manifold that would have come on the 88xx tractor and could tell me what it looked like.I am in the market for an original manifold for 88xx in real good condition.Comments please. don b
