Well, one would think that using cast iron governor and distributor bases would have been a war-time cost cutting method, but I have conflicting reports that I will forward on to you. One says that the aluminum parts were used on 2Ns and up thru 8Ns. I checked my early 9N yesterday and I have both aluminum governor with an oil line, and an aluminum base dizzy. May have been swapped out at some point but to get back to original I would need to change back but I don't knowif the guts of an aluminum one will fit a cast iron one...
