It seems the very old don't do well on this "stuff". You might want to read up on the reactions in the elderly. If my Mum was alive, there is no way in hades I would like her take something that wasn't even properly tested and seems to make getting the virus or similar viruses more deadly. Just my opinion; and you all know the old adage on opinions :-).
