How to Enable Cookies in your Internet Browser

First find out which browser and version you are using by clicking on Help and select About from within your internet browser.

Windows Browsers

Internet Explorer 7

  1. In the Menu bar, select:
    Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab
    The Privacy Settings box appears.
  2. Drag the slider down to Accept All Cookies.
  3. Click APPLY then OK to close Internet options.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Internet Explorer 6

  1. In the Menu bar, select:
    Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Advanced.
    The Advanced Privacy Settings box appears
  2. In the Cookies section, choose Override automatic cookie handling.
  3. Under First-party Cookies, select Accept.
  4. Under Third-party Cookies, select Block.
  5. Select Always allow session cookies.
  6. Click OK to close the Advanced Privacy Settings box.
  7. Click OK to close Internet options.
  8. 8. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Internet Explorer 5

  1. In the Menu bar, select:
    Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom Level tab.
  2. In Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer, click Enable.
  3. In Allow per-session cookies (not stored), click Enable.
  4. Click OK and save the settings.
  5. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Internet Explorer 4 or older

Please upgrade your browser for security reasons!

Netscape 8

  1. In the menu bar, select:
    Tools > Options > Privacy Icon in the panel.
  2. Open the Cookies section.
  3. Select Keep Cookies: Until they expire.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Netscape 7

  1. In the menu bar, select Edit > Preferences.
  2. In the Privacy and Security section, expand the list to show the choices.
  3. Click Cookies.
  4. Choose either; Enable cookies for the originating web site only (most secure) or Enable all cookies (most convenient).
  5. You can choose Warn me before accepting a cookie to let you decide whether to accept a cookie.
  6. Save the settings.
  7. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Netscape 6

  1. In the menu bar, select Edit > Preferences.
  2. In the Privacy and Security section, expand the list to show the choices.
  3. Click Cookies.

  1. In the Tools menu, select Preferences > Privacy.
  2. Choose Enable Cookies.
  3. In the Normal cookies pull-down menu, choose Accept all cookies.
  4. In the Third party cookies pull-down menu, choose Accept all cookies.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Save the settings.
  7. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Mozilla Firefox 2.0

  1. Click on Tools on the menu bar and select Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy icon.
  3. Select Accept cookies from sites and click ok.
  4. Close and restart the browser.

Mozilla Firefox 1.5

  1. Click on Tools on the menu bar and select Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy icon.
  3. Click the Cookies tab.
  4. Select Allow Sites to Set Cookies.
  5. Click OK and close the Options dialog box.
  6. Close and restart the browser.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0

  1. Click on Tools on the menu bar and select Options.
  2. In the Options window, select Expand Cookies.
  3. Select Allow Sites to Set Cookies
  4. Click OK and close the Options dialog box.
  5. Close and restart the browser.


Macintosh Browsers

Safari 1.0

  1. In the Menu, select Preferences > Security icon > Accept Cookies.
  2. Choose either of: Always (most convenient) or Only from sites you navigate to (more secure).
  3. Save the settings.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Internet Explorer 5

  1. In the Menu, select Edit > Select Preferences for Receiving Files option.
  2. Select Cookies.
  3. For When receiving cookies, select your desired level.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Camino

  1. In the Menu, select Preferences > Privacy icon.
  2. Enable the Cookies option.
  3. Close the window.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

Opera

  1. In the File menu, select Preferences > Privacy.
  2. Choose Enable Cookies.
  3. In the Normal Cookies pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
  4. In the Third Party pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Save the settings.
  7. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.


America Online (AOL) Browsers

AOL 9.0

  1. In the Toolbar, select Settings > Internet Web Options > Use your Internet Explorer Settings > Privacy tab > Advanced.
  2. Deselect the Override automatic cookie handling button.
  3. Click OK to exit.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

AOL 8.0

  1. In the Toolbar, select Preferences > Internet Properties > Privacy tab > Advanced.
  2. Deselect the Override automatic cookie handling button.
  3. Click OK to exit.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.

AOL 7.0 with IE 6

  1. In the Toolbar, select Settings > Preferences > Internet Properties > Privacy tab > Advanced.
  2. Deselect the Override automatic cookie handling button.
  3. Click OK to exit.
  4. Close all web browsers and open a new browser.
