  • “Floating" Top Link Connection on Brush Hog
  • I recently acquired a Woods Brush Hog. It came equipped with a “floating” top link connection. I do not know if that is the correct term for it, nor do I know if it is original equipment for that mower.

My question is: What is the proper adjustment for the top link when the mower rear wheel and front height are both properly adjusted for mowing? Should the floating connection be horizontal in a straight line with the top link or should it be 90° to the top link? U end up or down?

    Thanks for your guidance.

  • Start at 25" center to center of top link. The operator manual will give further instructions. Even if purchased used, you can get pdf versions of their manuals online.

  • So, basically straight in-line with the top-link.
    Thanks,
