  • Hi guys I have torn down my engine and found that i have problems with crank bearing on the connecting rod being way to loose need help deciding if I should get it turned or purchase a turned or new crank thanks thad

  • Sounds like somebody replaced one or the other at one time and not both at the same time as is standard procedure. The crank can be ground down about .060" total over time, not all at once. Take to a trusty local shop to get crank ground and the correct mew bearings for it.

  • I would go to my local machine shop and ask them to measure crank and advise if they can turn in down 1 size. They will let you know if there are bearing sets to work with it.
