  • DEARBORN ROTARY HOE FLYER
  • Here's a dealer flyer for the Dearborn Model 13-10 Rotary Hoe FORM AD-5092 Copyright 1947 Dearborn Motors Corporation. As it's name implies, it was originally designed as a weeder tool however due to its action it was usually used as a general purpose cultivator. A 1943 Ferguson memo states the rotary hoe was one of almost twenty implements listed to be designed and tested by the Farm Tools Company. Scarce information places production of the first available rotary hoes sometime in 1945. Ferguson hoes are listed as 3000 units for the last half of 1947 and the Ford-Ferguson split was about complete by then. Farm Tools had committed to produce for Dearborn by July 18, 1947-right at the time of the 8N SOP (start of production).
