  • can any one help i don't know what year my old ford tractor is it has two diamonds in front numbers the numbers they are 120356 also i already bought the wrong carb need help trying to buy the right carb thanks ron

  • Ron, without pictures or more description, we can only hazard a guess. Go to this web site for pictures and descriptions of Ford tractors from 1939 thru the early sixties.

  • Model year means little to nothing. The important factors are if it has a front mount or side mount distributor and if it is using the OEM 6V/POS GRN electrical system or has a 12V swictheroo been done. The <> Diamond symbols before and after the s/n would indicate a later 8N, NAA, or Hundred Series Model with the angle mount distributor. Why did you buy a new carb? Do you have a non-starting tractor?
    Did you perform the fuel flow test first? The original carb can be rebuilt again and again. What is the old carb number? Ford used Marvel-Schebler. Why do think it is wrong? Don't guess and just start buying new parts. Troubleshoot. Get and use the correct manuals and documents as your guide.
