  • Jubilee/NAA cowling on a 8N?
  • I know this is probably sacrilege for 8N purist, so if that is you, feel free to move on to the next post.

Anyone have any knowledge of retrofitting a Jubilee/NAA cowling ( ie the sheet metal over the engine). Looking at it, the steering area looks like it could be challenging and the radiator might also be problematic. I've been unable to find any pictures of such a project on line.

    Thoughts?

  • Simple answer is NO. The NAA had the larger 134 overhead valve engine and everything was different. The NAA hood has a left and right side panel with the flip up hood center panel. If you need a new hood, all 8Ns will interchange. Used good hoods show up in the ADS and ebay all the time. Dennis Carpenter reproduces both the 8N and the NAA sheet, metal parts new as well. You know the NAA is also an N-Series Model but this site deals with all Ford Tractors anyway. You can also find much of your information in your manuals. The master parts catalog would have the parts lists and detailed sketches to boot.

  • I saw pictures on Facebook of exactly what you're talking about, but I'm not sure what all was involved in the swap. The fuel tank will give you more problems than the radiator will. Fuel tank on the jubilee isn't bolted to the hood like the 8n.
