  • I would like to have some snow skis for my 8N to use with my Arps 1/2 tracks in northern Michigan winters, problem is I cannot find any except in pictures. I can make my own but do not have enough detail from internet pictures alone. The Ferguson skis have large springs at the top that seem to allow the arms to flex forward and back. I found a lot of pictures but nothing that shows what the spring arrangement attaches to on the tractor, to the steering arm, or to the front axle, or where, and how. Anyone have one or seen one at at tractor show and happen to have a picture of the upper link spring system they can share?

  • A fascinating project to this octogenarian, remotely-located (near CO-Sangres Wilderness) Newbie! Are any of these many photos related to the seven "gray Fergies" TE-20's (England-produced version of the TO-20) that Edmund Hillary took to the Antarctic with his 1955-1958 expedition? "They hold the record as the first vehicles driven to the South Pole." Some were equipped with tracks, dunno 'bout skis.
