  • With PTO engaged and no implement, I raise the touch control lever full up. When the lift arms get full up the pump knocks and the system acts like it is trying to pick up too heavy of a load. What is going on? Thanks, Chy

  • When lift reaches upper limit of lift, the piston/ram extends out of cylinder enough to contact a pin in the lift control arm, which is designed to kick the hydraulic valve into "neutral" or no lift position. If not doing so, you probably need to make some linkage adjustments or possibly have bent/worn/broken linkage, maybe causing piston to miss contact with pin.

Second picture is NAA tractor hyd, but the stop limit pin function is the same.

  • OK, Thanks, Second issue is that when lifting with no implement, the lift arms 'chatter' when about half way up on up to the top. This 3 point has never acted right or good, but I only pull a finish mower with it and never needed to lift it. I have purchased a 'new' pump from Derrick and want to address everything involved while I have it apart. Thanks again.
