  • Any ideas about where to find a cutting edge for a Dearborn back blade? 6 Foot.

  • A welding shop should be able to help. You can buy them online as well. Here is an example:

  • If I couldn’t scrounge one from another source……. I would start with a 5/16 x 6 bar. Cut the leading edge with a grinder, punch the proper holes. Then build a 6 ft bbq pit to lay the metal in after getting a good set of coals…."leave it too long?” Until red and quench it In the pit. I know that my uncle Ray did this to my amazement at about 8 yo. Don’t rely on an 8 yo memory, But I think it would work.
