  • Throw out bearing hub springs
  • I recently acquired a '51 8N basket case and have split the tractor to have the engine rebuilt. While apart I have replaced the clutch throw out bearing and rebushed the clutch pedal. I've attached the throw out bearing hub springs (p/n 9N-7562) and noticed the clutch pedal doesn't return to full up position. The springs are both the same length and seem to have good tension. What am I missing in order to make the clutch pedal return to full release position and stay up? Advice would be appreciated.

  • Do the springs pull the hub all the way back on the input shaft tube? If they do then you need to adjust the pedal height with the clutch pedal adjusting rod.

  • Yes,the springs pull the hub all the way back with good tension. I'll install a new clutch once the engine is rebuilt and take your advice regarding the pedal adjusting rod. Thank you for your help.
