I have a I believe a 50's model sherman backhoe that came with my 8n it isn't attached, and I know how it's mounted on the rear of the tractor, but looks like I need a gear pump? for the pro, and if so how do I size it?
I only see (1) hydraulic hose that would distribute the fluid is this correct, or should there be (2) hoses for the pump? would anyone have a manual they would be willing to share?

If you haven't seen it yet, there is an excellent library of info at this site.

At the top of the home page there is a red bar. ...Click on the "Manuals" tab, and it will bring the N-Tractor world of info to you.

Your PTO shaft will be 1-1/8" (original size) or 1-3/8" (replacement)diameter. ...You will need to find a pump to fit, or change the PTO shaft.

The Sherman 'hoe had its own reservoir, so there will be 2 hoses going to the pump - an inlet hose (suction) & discharge (pressure) hose. ...The suction hose will be larger in diameter.

The original pump on the Sherman was made by Hydreco. ....The tractor needed the Sherman auxiliary transmission (step-up or combo) to drive the PTO-mounted pump at a faster speed.

I have never been able to find GPM specs for the original pump.
