  • Irish film crew visits with the NTC's John Sanderson
  • A while back we posted an inquiry from a nice lady from Ireland, telling us that she was part of a group who was developing a documentary about Harry Ferguson and wanted to visit one of our folks to get insight from the other side of the pond. Our John Sanderson was kind enough to host them and has shared the following photos of their visit. Notice the way-cool baseball hat that John is wearing in the photos!

Here, John is explaining the evolution from the 9N to his 8N:

Here is John with Patrick who is the announcer for the documentary:

Here John explains the controls and gauges on the 9N to Patrick:

  • That is so cool. How long were they there? I hope, somehow through Britbox or BBC America, we are able to watch this documentary.

    Thanks, Ed and John.

  • The finished one hour documentary is due to be broadcast on BBC sometime this fall. The production company, DoubleBand films, said that they would send a copy to me when it is completed.
They were here for 2 hours on March 29. A lot of activity going on. It was interesting to watch them work. Direction, filming, sound, stills and a drone.

  • Hey, Ed. Thanks for posting the pictures. BTW, the folks are from Northern Ireland. I'm not sure about any sensitivity but...just sayin'.
Also, as part of my preparation for their visit, I found a photo in a box that was my mother's (she passed in 2001). The picture was of great-great grandparents, on her side of the family, from Northern Ireland who immigrated to Canada and then to Michigan.
ps I have 2 nclub hats (thank you). I wear one every day.
