  • I am going to buy a replacement grill for my 2n ford. When I Look around I see a large spread in prices. I would like to know what differences there is in the grilles, such as quality and looks. In other words which one would you buy if you were concerned about fit and quality.

    Thanks and God Bless

  • I agree with Harold that Dennis Carpenter's are generally the best, but most including Carpenter's are poor fits at the top. Somehow the repro engineers have never gotten that (among lots of other things) right. For my 8N I took my Dennis Carpenter grill apart and used the center and lower with the top V and rods of my original to get a near perfect fit. Takes some grinding and re-welding, but it was worth it to me.

  • I agree with Steve. I am trying to bring back a late 1941 and the '41' grill that I have I suspect is an aftermarket one will not fit at the top.

  • The lower panels have been welded to the grille on my tractor. It will take a lot of work to fix the sloppy welded area. I got new side panels so maybe I need to look into repairing the original grille which is in good condition otherwise. Don't do body work yet!

  • Good use ones show up on Ebay every once in awhile. I am not a body repair man either but as I tell folks I am not very smart but I know a lot of people that are!!!
