  • Sorry, it's not an N Series, but a late 60s early 70s 2000. There is one for sale near me (I haven't went to look at it yet) that runs, but the seller states it needs a steering box. I see used ones out there, but I wonder how easy it would be to fix one (depending on what's wrong) and if there are manuals out there on working on these tractors.

    Thanks.

  • HiYa Terry-
N's, Hundreds, Thousands, are all FORDS so discussions are not limited to just N's or any other make for that matter. The FORD 2000 is nice little machine. Is it a 3 CYL or a 4 CYL? 200's are a common model that pop up for sale all the time -look in the ADS forum here or on ebay. If you are looking, you can probably find one with a working steering box and not have to muck with finding one and replacing. I'd look elsewhere.

  • I had a 2000 3 cylinder in the past. One reason I traded it is it was manual steering and heavy to steer. The ones with power steering are much easier.
