  • After market radiator questions….
  • My radiator is leaking and has some other issues. I am preparing to solder the leak. In spite of all I have heard of the aftermarket rads I am tempted. The easiest for me to access is at Amazon.ca. It is listed as being made in the USA by “All States”, which means nothing to me. Manufacturer code is “AALINAA” and it has the part number as 8N8005, which I assume is the Ford part number.
Can anyone shed some light on this item? Has anyone purchased one? Fit and finish? I would appreciate some sage advise. Dave

  • We bought one for my son's 3500 a few years ago. The first one we got was China made & was obviously faulty right out of the box, but they replaced it w/no problem & that one was USA made & worked perfectly.
Also the last few times I have ordered from YT several of their parts came from All States. I've had very good luck (except for that first radiator) w/their parts & excellent service & shipping time.

  • I bought an aftermarket rad from Yesterday's Tractor Co. who sources from all over. I just got this tractor running with only a few hours on the clock and so far so good with this rad. I had to modify the shroud a little and put extra rubber gaskets on the rad cap (filler neck too tall) to hold pressure so fit was not the best but workable. Finish was okay for my tractor that is going back to work. Definitely not restoration fit and finish if that's what you are looking for, but not $300+ either.

  • All State Ag Parts. Not a snowball's chance in He!! they made the radiator.
About the same for country of origin being USA. None of that is meant to say you should not buy it.

  • Thanks for the honest comments. I still hope someone has one or has had one and can comment on it. I expected it was an overseas piece. Dave

  • I bought a replacement radiator from YT site a couple years ago and just now getting in on tractor. (It’s taking about as long to refurbish this tractor as it would a small airplane.) It’s not an exact replica as it has the bolts mounted to the bottom of rad instead of threaded inserts and external bolts. It looks like it will fit properly. My lower radiator support/front axle support was bent and I found a good strait used one online, result of not having a front bumper. The only things I know for sure that are made in U.S.A. Anymore are roofing trusses, cinder blocks, culverts, cattle gates and water troughs.

  • Thanks to all for the comments here. I would order the after market one if we cannot repair the original. Dave
