Steering Gear
I have a 9N serial number 9N108217.I have read there is a removable plug to check the lubricant for the steering gear. I cannot find any plug on my tractor. How do I then check the lubricant? Are there some 9N's that do not have such a plug?

Re: Steering Gear
9N/2N steering is splash lubricated by the transmission.

Re: Steering Gear
That is true for the steering box sector gears. There is, or should be, a grease fitting at the top of the steering shaft,
