  • Back blade for moving snow?
  • Question….have you ever seen foot pads on a back blade? I would use my back blade for snow removal if it had adjustable pads. Can you buy them and install? Thanks, Dave

  • I moved a lot of snow with a back blade and no feed or skids. My method was to spin the blade 180 degrees so that as I drove forward, the back side of the blade was moving the snow. That way the curve of the blade was not causing it to dig into my gravel drive. When moving snow on a paved surface, I would use the blade in the normal setting...using the concave side of the blade to move the snow.

  • I use skid shoes like these on my 6' back blade so I don't dig up the gravel areas I clear. They work well for me.

There is also a mushroom style available but I have no experience with that type.

  • Thanks Ed. I checked on our Amazon.ca. Many options available there. Blade digs in so much when grading that I needed a solution. Snow plowing is also problematic without the feet. Dave
