  • Late model 8N carburetor dripping fuel.
  • I brought it home from camp in late October. At full throttle it would start to miss and die on hills so I had to use the choke a bit. It sat outside until last week, covered, in very very cold weather. I turn the fuel off whenever I leave it. Last week….push the starter button and instantly it is going and the oil gauge is pinned at fifty. I have maintenance to do so I brought it into my heated garage. Shut off the gas but carb is dripping. I expect I will need a carb kit? If so, is there one better than most? Dave

  • Dave, from what part(s) of the carb is it leaking fuel?

  • Well Ed, it seems to be leaking from the seam where the bowl attaches. I will try to have a better look today and report back. We have been assaulted by winter here so the tractor has been sitting untouched. Dave
