  • I recently came across some NOS parts for the early 9N CM HALL headlights. I was lucky to find a pack of 5 9N-13061 wire clip lens retainer springs from a defunct dealer. The package is an original FOMOCO box, though probably from the early 60's or later, it isn't the original Ford Tractor package style from the era of the Hall headlights. Hand written part number, 9N-13061 on outside and inside lid shows "Lens retaining spring 1939-42 Ford Tractor lite by CM Hall". I also had recently purchased from local Case/New Holland dealer a pack of four E1ADKN13061 lamp retainer springs for later Fordson Major lights. Though not the same, CNH still carries them and you can make them work but require much re-bending. They list at $3.20 each. Ouch! These clips are identical to the smaller 8N-15534 retainer clips that are used in the 8N-15500 Worklight except for their larger size. The 8N clips will not work in the CM HALL headlights.

  • Tim, I found a clip in one of my lights that looks like the one in your top two photos. I made some more for my needs out of orthodontic wire. I also made some for Don B and John (TR).

  • Yes you did and they are still in service : ) My 40 is still in storage but I started and ran it last weekend like I've been doing every 6 weeks. It's coming home in the next week or 2.
