Ford with Bombardier Tracks...in Antarctica?
I saw this picture on the weather channel's website. They had a photo album about Antarctica. The caption for the photo read: "Sir Edmund Hillary drives a muskeg automobile sled at the shackleton base in Jan 1958" Looks to me like an 8n with some bombardier tracks...but the lights are on the top of the hood?

Putting the lights on top of the hood actually works better. But it looks goofy so "most" guys put them on the sides.

The tractors were Fergusons, not Fords. There has been a very good article in the past few issues of Ferguson Furrows, the publication of the Ferguson Enthusiasts of America (FENA)by David Lory. Tim Daley(MI)
