  • Ford & Ferguson Tractors -In Movies & TV
  • “Tora! Tora! Tora!” (Movie) Brief shot of a Ford-Ferguson Moto-Tug in background as the base is getting bombed. This would be period incorrect as the first Moto-Tug was not produced until April, 1943.

“The Bridges At Toko Ri” (Movie) N-Series tractor.

“Baa Baa Black Sheep” (TV Series) Moto-Tug in at least one episode.

“American Pickers” (TV Series) Numerous episodes with 9Ns, 2ns, 8Ns, Hundred Series, Thousand Series, Hi-Crops, and Ford Tractor dealership neon signs.

“The Longest Yard” (Movie/remake) Scene showing two N tractors way in background.

“Necessary Roughness” (Movie) Later Thousand Series in one scene.

“Bones” (TV Series) One episode with an N-Series and another with a Thousand Series.

“Amish Mafia” (TV Series) A 2N in a barn.

“Alaska –The Final Frontier” (TV Series) 8N being used.

“NCIS” (TV Series) A 9N or 2N painted blue and white in one episode.

“The Mentalist” (TV Series) Episode with an 8N in the background.

“The Stratton Story” (Movie) Jimmy Stewart plays a baseball pitcher from the rural southwest who loses a leg in a hunting accident but returns to the game to continue pitching. One scene has a Moto-Tug rolling by as he works on his farm.

“State Fair” (Movie) 1945 remake of a 1933 movie with a scene and a 9N in background.

“My Map of the World” (Movie) 8N is shown and then again later as guy has to auction off everything.

“Magical Mystery Tour” (Movie) The Beatles were allowed to make this ridiculous movieabout a group of people on a tour bus around England. One of the scenes shot inside the moving bus passes by a farm field and in the background there is a farmer plowing the field with a Ferguson TE20.

“The High and the Mighty” (Movie) 1954 John Wayne and Robert Stack are commercial pilots who have to land a troubled airliner enroute from Hawaii to the mainland. At the end when they successfully land the aircraft, they are standing outside the plane looking at a limp engine and in the background is a Moto-Tug. The Tug is painted yellowas many were after WWII when the Korean conflict broke out and put back into service.

  • One of my old favorites is the movie "The Flim Flam Man" where an 8N with a wagon load of watermelons is crashed into on the town square!
