  • Dearborn Road Maintainer Model 19-35; Continued
  • Here is some additional information on the Meli-Blumberg built Road Maintainer sold under the DEARBORN brand to FORD and introduced as an 8N tractor fabrication. The Ford-Fordson Collectors Association magazine, "The Journal", in its Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 issues published a story on them and listed the known owners at the time. The story surmises that only about 250 units were actually built starting with serial number 1000. Note the special wheel weights made exclusively for the Road Maintainer. These as well as the optional implements that were offered for the Road Maintainer are hard to find. The F/FCA kindly allowed me to reprint that article here so all who enjoy these old Fords can gain insight into their heritage. Thank you to Archie Tanner for writing the article and allowing me to share it here with NTC members. This is only Part II of the article. I will add the Part I when I can...
