Ferguson Tractor Demonstration
This is an old black and white film of a Ferguson Tractor and Implement demonstration from the UK. I've seen some of these implements but am not familiar with the others. Note the rear tires on some implements like the post hole digger. Are these precursors to 'turf tires'? Tim Daley(MI)

Re: Ferguson Tractor Demonstration
Here's a photo of a 1936 Ferguson-Brown Type A Tractor, serial number 45. Thanks to my friends at the Ferguson Enthusiasts of America. The tractor was restored by David Lory and sold to Danny Norman. This picture was supplied by Gene Kruse. The tractor Ferguson brought over from England to demonstrate to Henry Ford was serial number 722. I think that one now belongs to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. They also have the original 9N prototype tractor that Ford engineers designed after scrutinizing the Ferguson-Brown and making numerous improvements on. Note that the Ferguson-Brown tractors did not have electric starting motors and had to be hand cranked. Tim Daley(MI)

Re: Ford-Ferguson 9N Prototype Model
That is the one that Marv Baumann and I wanted to borrow in 2003 for our show at Nike Park when SMATEA featured Ford tractors. Insurance was prohibitive.
