    Just bought a fixer upper. Serial number *8N212109 but it has a 3 speed trans, front mount, brake peddles on either side ,3 arm governor.
    Coud this be early 8N or a 2n with 8N engine?

    Sounds like you may have a 9N or 2N that someone swapped an 8N engine into.

    Bill, you may want to repost this in the N Board forum - it gets far more traffic than the history forum.
