  • TSC and the wall propane heater
  • So about 3 weeks ago I ordered up an indoor propane unit for a back up heater. Similar to a natural gas fireplace and works well especially with a CO Detector. Well, I did this through TSC and it has been on the FedEx(cuse) truck out for delivery since the 16th of December.
I suspect the wet roads on the 16th might have had something to do with it. I suspect TSC got a real good discount on shipping using trucks that don't operate in inclement weather. Now with snow on the roads, I suspect TSC won't get this delivered until. . . Well, it might stop raining in May sometime. Order again from TSC? You funny. Amazon and several other companies don't have a problem with delivery.
TSC got my business as a test that they failed miserably.
So if it's raining or snowing in your neighborhood, you might think twice before ordering from TSC.
Just sayin' I am sure if you walk into the store, they are more that capable of selling you something on the shelf.

  • My propane wall heater is made by Martin. UPS delivered me two bed frames over a two week period. After some chatting with mission control they picked one up. I get a lot of stuff delivered to my Island, or to the city across the puddle. Sometimes I brig my van to the mainland to pick up stuff. Like a new pipe bender and other stuff.

  • FedX is the worst.
I avoid buying from those who use FedX.
We should request a different shipping company as often as we can. Maybe the sellers will get the message.

  • Like Steve says, It's fedex, not TSC. My last packages laid in the fedex warehouse 45 mile from here for 5 days, then they gave it to the post office rather than delivering it. Another 3 days. 8 days for 45 mile.

  • Perhaps it's not the fault of TSC. Then again, there was No optional shipping service.
That is a policy set up by TSC.
    Not mine.
Most manufactures know that shipping is critical to their success and if they cannot find a carrier that can accomplish this, they will not survive.
If the manufacturer cannot get raw materials delivered, they cannot produce.
No production, no product, no sales, no business.
Think Ford or GM wait for a shipper to finally deliver an item?
    Time to find another supplier.
So why is it that the end consumer should be treated any differently?
    NOT TSC fault?
    Really?

  • Yes. For items in stock, I am sure it is a good place to go.
Now 15 days that the item has been on the truck out for delivery.
Think it's not going to be damaged in transit?
15 days bouncing around on the back of a truck?
Tomorrow is New Years Day (Saturday) and that will make it 16 and then comes Sunday, closed, that's 17 days. Then comes Monday again and possibly on the 18th day it might get delivered?
    What was it?
    40 days and 40 nights. . .
I suppose if I ever went to a TSC, the item I was in search of would be on the shelf.
However, after this fiasco, I don't believe I will be going there anytime soon.
Your mileage may vary but then again, maybe not.
