  • Shoulder surgery part 2
  • I had my surgery yesterday, went in at 6;00a.m. Doctor said went good, said the tear was worse than they thought and that there was a really big bone spear that was touching and tearing at the rotator cuff or something like that.
So after all that they found my body heat had dropped, i was suffering Hypothermia probably from the anesthesia. So off to the ICU for the night, got everything straightened out was home by noon.
So am I a hurting puppy ??? Bet your ass I am !!!
    LOL
p.s wanted to thank all you guys for the great info and support !!
    later,dave

  • Best wishes for a speedy recovery #1! Definitely commit to the rehab and do the exercises and you'll get back to full normal. Take a pain pill an hour before your PT sessions and it will help.

  • So you can sit in front of the fire for a while, and claim it is therapy. Way to go.
Hope it all goes well for you. Island Mike

  • BTDT. Stick with the program and do what your therapist says. It will get better.
I had left rotator cuff surgery several years ago. PAIN afterwards! Therapy finally got everything working right and I have full ROM without pain.
I fell this past fall on right side and have been doing shoulder therapy since October. Better but no cigars. Some movement is still very uncomfortable.
Today the therapist said to get with my doctor and schedule an MRI. Oh, oh.
I was really hoping to NOT have surgery. We will see. At 79, how much ROM do I need?
