  • Shoulder recovery
  • It's almost 4 months since my shoulder surgery to repair a torn Rotator cuff, I've been going to physical therapy about 3 times a week for a total of over 30+ sections,
My range of motion at this time is very good but I'm still having trouble with some muscle and joint pain, It hurts with things like putting on a seat belt or reaching in back of me or pulling up my pants and so on.
It's killing me because I can't do sh!t in the house or out in the shop, I'm doing everything they tell me to do and not to do.
We're hoping another month or so and will be as good as new !
    Lets hope LOL

  • If you had learned to switch hands once in a while as I recommended, you would have never torn it in the first place. Jus' sayin'.....

  • Shoulders are very slow to heal.
I had rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder after a slip and fall on ice 3 years ago. We tried therapy initially before surgery. Little help.
After surgery it was months in therapy with lifting limitations. It is good now.
I fell last fall on soft and uneven ground straining my right shoulder. Went to therapy and have finally gotten to be almost pain free. I still have some discomfort in certain motions but doing good enough that I'm not willing to go through another rotator cuff surgery.
I do have to be very careful walking with neuropathy. My balance is not the best. I used to walk better after 6 beers than I do now stone sober. Will I get challenged for public intoxication? LOL
    Do your home therapy.

  • John,

We would make a matched pair! I had both knees replaced 18 years ago. Think they are wore out as I cannot walk a straight line any more. We could stagger together!
