A government job to boot. Well a local Islands Trust job. Usual pay scale, nothing.
I will will be on the Affordable Housing Committee. That is probably an oxymoron.
First meeting next Thursday. Lunch is provided. So that is a benefit.

So the first question being,
"What's in it for me?"
Or are you going to play nice at the first gathering?
"Is there more to this than free cookies?"
Maybe the second meeting.
"Can my aunt Bertha move in?"
So is the 318 going to get you there?
Maybe you can request a government vehicle for transportation.
I played quasi-federal employee for some time.
It was entertaining finally at the end when the union rep said I could skate out and I should no longer refrain from saying whatever I was thinking at the moment.

Best part was when higher up suits came to visit and couldn't answer any of my questions. One of the suits took me aside later and said he enjoyed my questions which all had merit but he couldn't say anything because he would never be invited to go along again on one of these outings.

It was fun saying things and watching him suffocating holding back the laughter.

Another good question could be "Who thought up this cr8P?"

Just make sure you have the proper attitude when you ask questions.

Go back to work? They cringe at the thought. Considering today's employment, I am a pregnant black transgender lesbian non binary. Consequently I cannot be denied due to implied prejudice if I was.

Well I went to my first meeting. This meeting was to lay out the groundwork for the basic figure out how we are going to proceed. None of it made any sense to me.
I left early. Said thank you. Call me when we are going to talk about the issues at hand. But I did stay for lunch. By the time we consult, anyone who is breathing, and proceed with a blithering range of nonsense ( read parameters that make no sense to me ) we will not achieve anything. But, the lunch was quite good.

I did make a couple of stupid comments. Decisions are made by the people that attend the meetings. I will not attend meetings if the chair allows A'holes like Paul to attend, and a few other not politically correct stuff.
