  • Yet Another Reason To Avoid EVs
  • Folks, there is no end to greenie/lib insanity.

Could be that EV owners may soon find that they do not own the energy stored inside their EV battery.

  • >> Demand response (DR) programs aim to motivate customers to reduce their normal energy use in response to a price change or by a utility request. <<

Reduce it? What if you need to charge your EV to get to the store, take your child to school, take your parent to the doctor, etc.? Can you comply with a utility request?

What will you do when the grid is taken down like during the California wildfires? What if you only have an EV and need to evacuate but your battery is not charged? What about when the grid goes down like the Winter storm in Texas?

Since we've ceded control of Afghanistan to the Chi-com's, we are at their mercy with regards to obtaining the lithium needed for these car batteries. How will this impact supply and future costs?

Speaking of the car batteries, remember the Tesla that caught on fire and the fire department could NOT put it out and had to call Tesla for guidance?

Speaking of car batteries, how will we safely dispose of all of them in a way that does not create another environmental crisis in the future?

  • Speaking of car battery cost....
  • Oops.....
The price for lithium, a key material for electric car batteries, is skyrocketing.

In the past 12 months, the cost of lithium has gone up more than 250 percent, according to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, meaning the price of batteries is going up as well.

  • One can only wonder what might happen if the greenies allowied mining in the US....

Lib/dems/greenies often want to have things "both ways."

  • Brings to mind when a bus in China caught fire. It was parked next to a row of buses and they all burned. If I had to drive one of these I wouldnít park it in the garage!

  • Would have made to much sense to send a directive to all fire personnel on how to combat this. Unfortunately a few people will die from this before it is addressed.

  • Hee hee

Not too long ago, I put permanent registration plates (Orygun Disabled vet) on my diesel truck. I figure to be rolling coal and killing dinosaurs my the mile for a while longer.

I remember the good 'ol post office using electric delivery vehicles back in the 80's in Calyfurny.
Then came rolling blackouts and no mail delivery.

Next is rolling blackouts and u no go work today.

    No work, no check.

Hey Chuck, just be sure to pay the electric bill and the car payment.

Thank you for playing the game we call green.

  • So if I read this correctly they just said they canít supply all power needed now. How do they plan to generate enough for millions of electric vehicles? At my house we run 4 vehicles daily. I donít think my 200 amp service will charge that many vehicles overnight if needed. Complete and utter insanity in my opinion. It would make to much sense to build the infrastructure needed before mandating massive change. Buying a horse sounds better every day.
