  • Dempocalypse
  • Folks, the American People have been experiencing a Dempocalypse for about 15 months.

  • We have a chance to at least stop the train in November. If we take the House back and control the Senate, we can neuter Dumb & Dumber for the remainder of their term.

More importantly for the future, conservative people need to get more involved at the local levels - that's where it all starts. The Dem's understood this from the 60's on and it's one of the main reasons we are where we are. There is a big push in Virginia to get conservative citizens on school boards and town councils and rebuild from there. For the first time in my life, I am seeing organized groups recruiting and training interested citizens on how to run for school boards in Virginia. Let's hope it goes nationwide.

  • It seems most of Biden's (yea, right!) misdeeds have been done through Exec Order, and not by the legislature.

If congressional approval is not required, how do you stop Exec Orders?

It appears we can't count on the judicial system, either.

  • You stop them by not funding them - the House controls that.

If Demento Joe and the Cackle Queen are impeached, Kevin McCarthy becomes President. Probably a fantasy, but a delightful one to consider.

  • Yes, some things can be stopped by defunding, but, of course, demos will simply insist that everything on their wish list be included into an omnibus bill that "must" be passed to avoid a shutdown. This always works for demos.

Other things like building walls, pipelines, drilling, etc., cannot be accomplished by defunding.

  • Thought about that.

    Never happen, of course.

  • Agreed, Ed. I served on my local school board (my alma mater and that of my 3 children), 1976 to 1980 and I did not run for re-election. I was one of only 2 conservatives. There were some interesting "discussions" and even a court case involving an employee wrongly fired. (I won!)
In 1983, I was appointed to complete the one year remaining of a term created by the resignation of the fellow conservative board member for family reasons.
Hopefully, younger conservatives can step up and challenge the woke libs.
