It appears the Republicans are only one seat away from removing Pelosi from her throne. The wicked witch from the west is now a commoner.

Any Republican majority will be very small and McCarthy will be challenged for speakership.

More than likely, he will not get enough Republican votes to be elected. Of course, he will get no demo votes.

If a Republican speaker is not choosen before January, the election will be opened to the entire house.

If this happens, all demos will vote for Pelosi. I expect there will be a few RINOS who will defect and/or abstain.

There is no rule stating that the speaker must be a member of the party with the most seats.

Pelosi could well be elected speaker yet again.
