  • I'm not a big fan of Mitch McConnell, but I agree with his assessment that the so-called "red wave" was just a ripple because of the quality of candidates that were chosen.

    The most competitive candidates will be identified by local committees and state parties, not former Presidents and the RNC, in my opinion.

  • Here in western New York, the only way a republican runs is if he is able to finance his own campaign. The state party does not contribute to anyone outside of NYC. The RNC doesn’t consider NY as a win able state. There have been what I consider “Quality Candidates” around here but they won’t run due to lack of support.
