The silliness about gas cookers is just that.
The new building code required me to install an always on air recirculating unit. I signed a form that said I will always have in on all day during the winter months. It sucks in cold air, and removes the warm air. Brilliant plan. I have never used it.
Above the cooker is a 250 cfm ?? air sucker that I use. Next to the cooker is a window that can draw in air when it is slightly open. Next to the cooking area about twenty feet away is a bathroom, with another 250 CFM air sucker.
A couple of years ago the E power was off for about one week just be Christmas. The folks that used E power for cooking and heat, were cold and hungry.

Yep - clothes washers and dryers, too. I guess it's time to put that ole clothesline up in the backyard again.

Appliances? Hell, ole Joe is almost an appliance....mentally, these days. Maybe Team Owebama will "green" him out of our White House, too. Then we can have Kam or Moochelle continue to "transform" us into the next Cuba or Venezuela.

Time to start investing in clothesline and washboard stocks! I remember hand washing dishes and pans at the restaurant I worked at in my teens. At least I did when the ancient commercial dishwasher they had broke down.
