  • I advise one to dismount his NAA with hands raised like the POlice were inviting you. 2 months ago I steped off the left running board and jamed my left hand into the tire tread. Hurt like a @#$%$$. Swelling still hasn't gone down.

  • Hate to hear about your hand and truly hope it's better by now, but it's always best to dismount any farm tractor the size of a Ford with at least one hand on the steering wheel to keep balance. Jammed hand on a tire is much better than falling backwards, potentially receiving a head and/or back injury.

    When dismounting from larger tractors and heavy const. equipment, one should always use handrails installed by the mfg. and if none are present, there is generally something in place to grab hold of to step off/down and not lose balance.
