Re: Dismount Safety
Hate to hear about your hand and truly hope it's better by now, but it's always best to dismount any farm tractor the size of a Ford with at least one hand on the steering wheel to keep balance. Jammed hand on a tire is much better than falling backwards, potentially receiving a head and/or back injury. When dismounting from larger tractors and heavy const. equipment, one should always use handrails installed by the mfg. and if none are present, there is generally something in place to grab hold of to step off/down and not lose balance.
