  • Start-up
  • Do you guys ever stand next to your tractor (in front of that big wheel) and push the start button. I know its in neutral...could it slip into gear? Im not as fast as I used to be! MJM

  • Though this thread is old, it still bears reading.

As I was reading it, I was trying to think of ways to help insure that doesn't happen (though I'm certain most of us have done it).

My Dad's yard tractor had an electrical connection hooked to the seat. The weight of the operator seated on it made the contact, and the tractor would not start until such contact was made.

This isn't foolproof though. As years went by, he eventually re-routed the wires, probably so he could work on it in while running without geting on and off many times.

Still, I wonder if something like this could be adapted to N-Tractors?
    I'll be thinking on how...

  • Go down a few Topics to "A Reminder and a Warning". You can read all the details of what happened to me and some other people who did the same thing.

    Be careful!
